The teapot is a familiar household object used for serving simple tea
or for ceremony. A goddess teapot, however, is a celebration! My goddess
teapots are large, sculptural, and their titles are word plays. With
their cycladic goddess heads and exaggerated bodies, my teapots boldly
exemplify their names: "Fertili-Tea", "Formali-Tea",
"Her Majes-Tea", "Liber-Tea", "Q-Tea",
"Hot Tea", etc.
Each teapot is handbuilt from slabs of earthenware clay. All teapots
have the functioning parts of a "real" teapot, but they are
strictly sculptural.
